Busy Busy Busy

I know it's no excuse to keep you faithful bloggers waiting, but I apologize. We have been very busy and I have neglected my blogging duty. So...the tale of the tape. Jude is now 6 months old, weighing in at 20 lbs, standing atop his class in weight (90%tile) and head size (95%tile). I'm not sure if these are bragging points or not, but there you go. He is officially eating foods now. Baby cereals, fruits, and veggies. He reaches for everything, can sit up, and scoot backwards on his tummy. At bath time has graduated to playing with toys. His favorite pastime is slapping, and bouncing. He is really starting to show a personality.

Bethany and I are doing great. We got a pseudo jump on Christmas shopping this year. Looks like we will be done 5-6 days ahead of time this year. This Friday is the annual Nutcracker evening. We have our best seats yet. Front row orchestra. Pretty excited.

Anyway, we are loving being mom and dad right now. Each and everyday Jude grows into his own person, adding so much love and enjoyment to the family.

We miss you all. Merry Christmas!

It's beginning to look a lot like Thanksgiving

A lot going on lately. Two weeks ago we went back to Salem for the official 10 year high school reunion. It was great seeing everyone. I had a blast. Thanks to the Cooper's for an awesome time last Saturday. The Halloween party was spooktacular. Sorry about the lame joke there. Really, a good time though. Last week was trunk or treat at Newstart Community Church. Jude was a chicken. Bethany was Bethany with glasses. Isn't she scary! Just kidding honey, I love the new look. The only problem is now she can see how ugly I am. And finally, we had my family in town this weekend to visit the boy. It was a great Saturday, had a fire all day. Watched the Buckeyes win, and had a nice dinner at the Liberty Tavern. By the way, Happy 29th anniversary Mom and Dad! Here are some pics for everyone to enjoy. One thing though. Enough with the Christmas talk. It's not even Thanksgiving yet. Yeesh.

Hey Again

Hey again. Thought it might be time to send out some more pictures. Jude 4 now 4.5 months and weighs 17-18 pounds. Things have been going well for the family. This last week has been rough though. He has had two ear infections, 2 colds, and now has croup. So we have had a lot of tears, and little sleep as of late. This week we tried real food for the first time with little success. But he seems to be getting the hang of it. We are almost at the point he can hold his own bottle. He has rolled over a couple of times, but it's no regular occurrence. Well, we miss everyone, here are some pictures. I know, I know....i need to post more often. I'll try to keep up. See ya.

Update

Hey everybody. Just wanting to check in. Jude is 3&1/2 months old now and as amazing as ever. He is laughing and cooing, he is reaching for everything and even had his first rollover. It wasn't on purpose though, and we haven't been able to get him to do it again. He weighs in at almost 17 lbs, and looks everybit 6-7 months old.

Mom and Dad are doing good. We have been busy with work as usual, but are still finding time to enjoy friends and family. Grandma and Grandpa Whittington have been amazing. They have become the football Saturday babysitters. I don't know who enjoys it more, us or them. Grandma and Grandpa Thayer, and Aunt Whit were in town for the weekend and we did the Powell Crawl. Jude loved it. Especially the music at the local coffee house.

So, we are all sick. We have been since he started day care. It is to the point that we are starting to think about taking him out and finding an in-house nanny, so if anyone has any ideas, please share. Hey moms...how about we all chip in and pay one of you to quit your jobs and watch all of the kids. Anyone interested?

Here are some pictures of the boy. Thanks for stopping.

Outer Banks Trip

We just got back from a great week in the Outer Banks. Pretty much the same group as last year. Me, Beth, Brett, Jake, Kess, Rose, Suz, and a few new additions to the group, Ryan, Jennifer, and Jude. We had a blast. The house was great. Hot tub, pool, ocean view. We spent most of our mornings at the pool, afternoons at the ocean, and evenings playing cards or out to dinner. Jude was perfect. We put him in an SPF body suit with some sunglasses and a hat. He floated most of the time in a little frog raft. I'd say it's good to be home, but we all know that's not true. I'd take the beach any day. Even with a tropical storm. Which we survived by the way. Jake even made the local news. Anyway, here are some pictures.

It's been a while

Sorry a new post has taken me so long everyone. Since Beth has been back to work, finding a few minutes has been tougher than expected. Anyway, I thought I'd jump online to get you a few pictures. The family is still doing great. Mom has transitioned back to work, and Jude is happy and healthy. He had a few shots at the doctor. That was an experience. And we were given some stretches to work out his neck a little bit. He had such a big head that it kept rolling to one side, and now we have to work with him to start looking the other way. It's coming along alright. Anyway, thanks to all who have been helping out in the babysitting department. You are appreciated.

Thanks

I am so proud of her. She is back at work this week, and I know that has got to be hard. Love you honey. Anyway...just wanted to keep you all up on some recent pictures.

Worst. Parents. Ever.

Another cute one post bath.

Rocking out.

Happy Mommy! The long awaited Shauna pic. Today is Shauna's first babysitting day. I'll fill you all in later.

Testing the lungs. Still working. Helping me with the laundry.
