The Superfund Amendments Reauthorization Act (SARA) Section 313 Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) Report for Reporting Year 2009. Also referred to the Form R report. For those of you who work with me, you understand. For the rest of the planet, it's my excuse for not posting over the past 2 months. July 1st is the end of the environmental reporting season. Anyway, I know some of you have still been anxiously waiting. Well, Beth and I have drafted a few posts, and are going to get back on track here. So keep checking us out. And for the time being , here is some entertainment.

One question for anyone who can answer. Blogspot makes it painfully difficult to post a video. I have to compress the files so that it will cooperate. This deteriorates the video quality. If anyone has a suggestion, I'll take it. Maybe, I'll just start linking to youtube.

I have a lot to write about, but the past few weeks haven't provided for much posting time. I figured I would take a quick minute to get some pictures out there. Talk to you soon.

To all of the faithful...

...who tell me they check daily, welcome to your next installment. If I had a nickle for every day that I thought about posting but didn't, I'd have about two years worth of nickles. That's really not that much money.

So it's not quite two years, more like 22 months. I can't believe it. I just spent some time going through old posts and I am simply amazed at how much has happened and changed over the past two years. I remember holding him basically in the palm of my hand, watching him make that startled face at so much as a whisper. Now he is riding a big wheel backwards down our driveway, exclaiming "whoa fast motorcycle". By the way...he loved his big wheel so much when Bethany brought it home, that he was literally hugging it.

He is a total boy. His favorite things are still basketballs, baseball bats, toy trucks, and flirting with girls. (He hits them. I will refer to this as flirting until it becomes an issue. Besides...he always tells them "sowwie")

For food, he eats mostly fruit snacks that are shaped like sharks. We get some other things into his belly occasionally, but really...its mostly fruit snacks shaped like sharks.

Right now mom is giving him a bath. I can hear him singing. Just to give you an idea what that's like, please refer to the video below.

What else? Oh yes! Temper tantrums. They are awesome. They tend to occur when we are out of fruit snacks shaped like sharks. I have found that if I get out the video camera he tends to stop. Hopefully I can get one on tape so that you all can enjoy.

All and all though, this is a lot of fun right now. His language and reasoning skills are improving by the minute. He loves to play and be social. You just can't help smiling at him. Especially when he tries to say dump truck. I think blogspot.com doesn't like foul language so I will let you figure that one out.

He just yelled Easter bunny. We had to visit the Easter bunny a few times. He was either a fan of the bunny or the free sucker. I'm not sure. I think it was the bunny because we never even ate the suckers. I found this odd because he was terrified of Santa Clause.

Speaking of Santa, that goodness winter is almost over. Enjoy the springtime everyone!

Bethany's Jailbreak

Sorry about the 2.5 month absence everyone. It has been tough with Bethany being in county lock down. But she is out now, so I have some time to sit down and post.

To be quick, we had Christmas, New Year's, and a few Holidays since we last talked. Jude has grown a lot in the past 2 months. We went through a second separation anxiety phase. This one destroyed his sleep pattern for about 2 weeks. We went through a flu season. Everyone got it. (It seems like every blog is about us being sick. I guess that's what no sleep and a day car incubator does to a home.) Right now we are going through a pretty solid tantrum phase. Basically, if he doesn't get exactly what he wants, immediately, then he calls upon the hounds of hell for about ten minutes to help him relay his feelings about the matter.

But all and all, things are as good as it gets. We have a fun little family right now. If you want to scroll back to the beginning of thayerfamilyblog time, I will save you the trouble. He is twenty months old. He is really starting to talk and play. Pretty much he is like a fire. You can't stop watching it. It is amazing, and brilliant, and entertaining. But occasionally something burns down.

Of all that I have to blog about right now... family, holidays, first haircuts, first potty, birthday parties, etc., the event that stands out over the past two months is our first trip to McDonald's Play Place. It was a Wednesday. It was snowing. From your perspective, I imagine it was uneventful. But in my mind, it was a house of terrors. First off, Jude is half of the allowed age of entry. But I boosted him into the tunnel anyway. Then, for roughly eternity, he got lost. And I poured sweat. And tried to drink my lemonade pretending I wasn't nervous. You see, that stupid clown did not build looking holes in this thing, it is about two stories tall, and all you have to do is wait. You here yelling, and kids pummeling each other, and more pummeling. And then you start to think about your toddler being trampled to death in a giant sticky tube full of snot, chicken nuggets, and vomit. Then, out of no where.....Jude flies down the slide and says "anin peas". (That means "again please"). So you do it all over again. And after about 35 minutes, you are one small step closer to being a confident Daddy.

So now for the meat and potatoes. Here are some pictures over the last couple of months. And to Eric and Bree...I hope all is going well. Good luck and stay in touch.

Bethany Got Arrested

Just kidding. I just wanted an interesting Post title. So once again, flu season is upon us. Jude brought it home from Day Care. He passed it on to Grandma, Grandpa, and Dad. A few days later Mom got it. Then, on Thanksgiving week, Dad go the flu for the second time. This week we are finally healthy. We only are passing around a severe chest and head cold.

Enough small talk...Jude is doing great. He recently advanced to the Toddler 1 Room at Day Care. He was getting too big for the Infant 2 Room. The transition has been pretty good. He has been a bit more tired. The new room is more structured with activities and rules, so it wears him out. His teeth are really filling in. I think he has a half set by now. Just like Dad. He has been biting at day care. Apparently the girls tackle him and he gets frustrated. Again, just like Dad.

The communication gap is closing quickly. Between his signs and words, we are able to talk to him pretty well. This does not mean he listens or even cares what we have to say, just that he can understand us and we can understand him. He is starting to play pretend. He will push cars, talk to his animals, etc. His favorite toys are cars, footballs, soccer balls, and cooking utensils. We still have to play keep up all night and day, but he is giving us glimpses of some self reliance.

I have a lot more, but I guess I'm just going to get some pictures in here. I'll get a bunch more in after Christmas I'm sure.
